Last time we talked about ''Close and Open Conversation''. First we tackled about Close Conversation, the common definitions of Close Conversation are questions that can be answered with either a single word or a short phrase, or it can be also answered by yes or no. This kind of conversation is not really appropriate because it stops the flow of the conversation. Next we tackled about Open Conversation, this kind of conversation is much better than the other kind of conversation because in this conversation the dialogue of two persons don’t stops because they both use the ‘’wh’’ questions such as what, when, who, where and why. To keep a conversation on going we must use the seven ways, first is give a little more information than is asked for, second is make a related comment, third is repeat key words, fourth is react in some creative way or they call it REJOINDERS, fifth is add comments, sixth is ask a related questions and the last is use question tags. When we finished our discussion we had our pair quiz, our professor told us to find a partner to perform the Open conversation, he told us to use the seven ways to keep a conversation going so that we will be able to keep our conversation on going. For me Open Conversation is much better than Close Conversation when having a dialogue because Close Conversation is very boring when having a dialogue like what I always experience when my 4^th year high school classmates text me. So to avoid boring conversation or dialogue lets must all prefer Open Conversation. =)
